Alexander Rose' high-tech warehousing operation ensures goods are dispatched to stockist's within 7 working days and stock levels are maintained throughout the season. Folding furniture and park benches are supplied fully assembled, whilst other products are flat packed for convenience and assemble quickly and easily.
Alexander Rose offers an after sales guarantee that wherever possible it will replace any goods which, due to faulty materials or manufacture, in it's opinion do not give fair or reasonable wear.
Wherever possible, we use corss doweled mortice and tenon joints for added strength. Folding chairs feature safety locking devices and height adjusters on fixed leg tables to eliminate rocking on uneven surfaces. Only the highest quality timbers are selected for Alexander Rose furniture and we are committed to sourcing our woods from well-managed forests around the world. The majority comes from West Africa, where we have very strict government controlled concessions of timber. We employ all local craftsmen and provide them with education and healthcare, for themselves and their families.
Alexander Rose manufacture most of their timber furniture in Ghana, West Africa. The furniture factory is based in MIM, a small village, where the workforce are all locally employed. Workers are paid good wages and receive healthcare for themselves and their families.
The MIM School was started in 1998 with the factory constructing the classrooms. Local children are given the opportunity of a proper education and are being trained for the future, to provide higher levels of supervisory skills in the factory. Here in the UK, Alexander Rose actively fund raise for computer and sports equipment and have an ever expanding child sponsorship programme, allowing poor families to send their children to school.
Long term economic growth through the controlled use of natural resources, encourages better forestry and helps prevent the local farmers cutting down the main forest for short term gains.
Our timbers are sourced from all over the world. Ghana being the main source, which is committed to phasing out wood supplies from poorly managed forests.
To ensure consistently high quality, the furniture is designed and manufactured under Alexander Rose supervision.
We only use the highest quality materials available. In turn this reduces the amount of warping, twisting, cracking and increases the durability of the furniture. The hardware used is rust resistant and made from either solid brass, yellow zinc plated or stainless steel.
