The Headland Hotel is a stunning Victorian escape on the South West British coast. It is a 5 star hotel overlooking Newquay Beach, with stunning panoramic views of the coastline.
The brief
We were contacted by Dynargh Design at the end of 2019 as the build of The Aqua Club was underway. A brand new £10m addition to the hotel designed by Lilly Lewarne Architects. The Aqua Club was designed with the landscape in mind making use of natural materials such as stone, granite and a living roof. The furniture had to compliment the curved architecture and natural colour tones throughout the spa.
The end result
Dynargh Design knew they wanted the Cordial collection due to it’s tactile properties and curved design features. Whilst the standard offerings were in grey tones, they worked closely with the Alexander Rose design team to choose a natural stone colour rope. A mixture of the iconic Cordial Surf Lounger and Cordial deep seated lounge were chosen to create a visually appealing space, whilst maintaining comfort as the most important factor.
