A stay at Chewton Glen is one you certainly won’t forget in a hurry. Located on the edge of the New Forest National Park, this English country house hotel is nothing short of idyllic. There’s 130 acres of land to explore, a striking outdoor pool, a spa, a gym and a multi-award winning restaurant.
We’ve manufactured and supplied various pieces for Chewton Glen since 2011 and we’ve always enjoyed working with them. So we were naturally very excited to learn that they also wanted us to supply the furniture for something completely unique – their four incredible treehouses, which are nestled up high in the canopy of the trees. With large sweeping balconies, cosy log burners and free-standing baths – they’re nothing short of luxurious.
This unique accommodation offers a complete immersion with nature, with unrivalled tranquility as a result. Which is why our Roble timber was chosen as the wraparound for the terraces. This not only ensured that the treehouses merged seamlessly with their surroundings, it also met their environmental requirements for sustainable resources, which came from a trusted and local supplier.
Whilst of course our Roble timber is grown in managed forests in Bolivia, our headquarters are based just a short distance from them in Sussex. And is a robust, stronger and sustainable alternative to many other woods.
We also supplied equally sustainable round dining tables, wide and inviting sofas and recliner sun loungers so their guests could make themselves comfortable after a dip in the hottub as the sun sets behind the trees. For added comfort, they also chose the contrasting charcoal coloured cushion in our popular waterproof Olefin fabric, enabling them to be left outside during light showers.
